Who is CrossFit for?

CrossFit is for anyone with the determination and commitment to learning skills that will improve their fitness dramatically. All the workouts can be scaled to any fitness level. The fundemental movements do not change just reps, weight and time, so it is accessible to everybody!

The CrossFit Method

Practice and train all major lifts; deadlift, squats, clean and jerk, and snatch. Master the gymnastic movements; pull ups, dips, push ups, sit ups, handstands. Row, run, bike and swim. Now mix them up into as many different combinations as you can imagine and do them at high intensity for short durations. Avoid routine! Learn and play new sports. - Founder of CrossFit, Greg Glassman.

Nutrition

Eat meat and fish, vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starchy carbohydrate and no sugar - Greg Glassman, Founder of CrossFit. For further information look at the Zone Diet.

It still summer

Training in the park when the weather is good is something I love about my job!!!
And I have to say that alot of my clients, given the option, would rather train outside!
So Saturdays wod
200m run
5 Ring Dips
20 Weighted Lunges
x 6 for time
As time is passing I am seeing some fantastic improvements in my athletes fitness and it really makes my job feel worthwhile, especially when I look back at photos and previous WOD times and see the results, its inspiring how dedicated these guys are.
Well done.

White Air

This weekend has been fantastic. We were so lucky with the weather and the amount of people that showed up.
On Friday for our CrossFit demo we put a challenge together of a Royal Marine Commando vs Scott Reed from ZT, Scott is the Strong Man winner 2007/2008. They competed for the fastest time doing Fran, 21-15-9 Thrusters and Pull ups, one of the most demanding CF benchmark workouts! They both did really well considering it was their first attempt, Scott came in the fastest so well done to him! There are photos on the ZTFightSkool website on Flickr.
On Saturday it was the Stand up tounament and more demos and people getting the chance to try and learn stuff.
Sunday was the MMA Tournament which was really exciting, a great ending to a really good weekend.

So one of the most memorable wods last week was last Thursday when John, Hickey and Toby did the stairs for the first time.
I gave them the option of
